It all started with an idea
Our CEO Julia knew there had to be a better way for people to source unique products without having to hop through a dozen hurdles. In 2023, she sat down with Mandy, our COO, and the two came up with an idea:

Meet the Wayo team
Julia Xu
CEO and Co-Founder
Before founding Wayo, Julia was Chief of Staff at Alibaba North America, where she saw firsthand the major gaps that exist in global supply chains. Afterwards, she built Multitasky, a lifestyle eCommerce brand, where she led a cross-border sourcing team.
Mandy Chow
COO and Co-Founder
During her time at Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong and Airwallex in Shanghai, Mandy saw the incredible potential in Chinese manufacturing and developed the skills necessary to tap into that opportunity. She met Julia in 2023, and the rest, as they say, was history.
Frank Luan
AI Scientist
Frank Luan is a PhD student in computer science at the Sky Computing Lab at UC Berkeley, with a focus on data, AI systems, and cloud computing.
Kelly Luc
Marketing & Brand Director
With a love of writing, design, and communication, Kelly is a jack-of-all trades when it comes to marketing and brand.
Jenny Zhang
Ops & Product Director
Jenny Zhang is the Senior Project Manager Manager at Wayo. Before entering the tech world, Jenny was in the art auction business where she got in touch paintings by Picasso and Van Gogh every day. Jenny graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with an M.S. in Intercultural Communication.
Qilong Zhong
Engineering Manager
Bruce brings a wealth of expertise to our engineering team, drawing on his extensive startup experience and his previous role as an engineering manager at ByteDance. He graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology with a degree in Communication Studies.
